The Worst Telecom Hack in U.S. History

Senator Mark Warner called it “the worst telecom hack in our nation’s history.”

AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Lumen — all hit by the Salt Typhoon campaign. Hackers got call and text metadata, geolocation info, and in some cases, actual audio recordings of phone conversations.

This wasn’t about stealing credit cards. This was surveillance-grade access to communications infrastructure.

And here’s the uncomfortable part: most organizations don’t even know what sensitive data is sitting in their own systems — let alone what’s flowing through their vendors.

If you can’t see it, you can’t protect it.
