Paste Agent · Clipboard protection
It takes one paste to put a client's data somewhere it should never be.
Every lawyer and paralegal pastes documents into an AI to summarize them. The sensitive data goes with it, into a chat window you do not control.
Paste Agent sits between your clipboard and the AI. Sensitive fields are redacted automatically. The AI never sees any sensitive data.
We’re waiting on app approval.
Client intake memo — Alvarez matter Name: Maria R. Alvarez DOB: 04/18/1979 SSN: 412-55-8831 License: D7741902 (TX) Address: 2218 Lantana Dr, Austin, TX 78745 Summarize the custody timeline and flag any filing deadlines in the next 30 days.
Client intake memo — [NAME] matter Name: [NAME] DOB: [DATE_OF_BIRTH] SSN: [SSN] License: [DRIVERS_LICENSE] Address: [ADDRESS] Summarize the custody timeline and flag any filing deadlines in the next 30 days.
Same memo. Same instructions. The AI still does the work.
It doesn't matter which AI, which app, or which browser
Paste Agent is AI redaction at the clipboard, so the same protection applies in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and the tool nobody told you about.
Desktop apps
Paste into the ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini desktop app and the redaction applies.
Any browser
Same paste into a browser tab. Same fields, same result.
Email and chat
The wrong paste into the wrong thread gets caught too.
Whatever's next
The shadow AI nobody approved is covered on day one.
250+ classifiers, not a handful of regular expressions
Paste Agent runs the same sensitive data detection engine behind Risk Finder, our PII scanner for file shares and repositories. It covers the regulated data you are actually accountable for, plus the credentials that turn a convenient paste into an incident report.
- Regulated data behind PCI, HIPAA, CCPA, and GDPR
- Direct identifiers including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver's licenses, and home addresses
- Secrets such as passwords, API tokens, and private keys pasted out of a config file or a log
- Deterministic detection. Pattern matching knows. It does not guess the way a model does.
Runs locally. Full stop.
The classification happens on your computer. No copy of your clipboard is uploaded for scoring, no service account sees your client file, and nothing about the original text is sent to us.
Most data redaction software uploads the file to do the work. That is the whole point of doing it here: a privacy tool that ships your documents somewhere to check them for privacy problems has not solved anything.
Protect your business and your clients’ data
Law firms
A paralegal drops an intake memo into a chat window to get a timeline. Privilege and client confidentiality do not have an exception for "it was faster." A law firm AI policy only holds if something enforces it at the paste.
Healthcare and benefits
A coordinator pastes a patient record to rewrite it in plain language. PHI in a vendor's chat log is a reportable problem, so HIPAA compliant AI starts with what leaves your clipboard.
Finance and accounting
A statement, a reconciliation, a spreadsheet of account numbers, pasted in to find the discrepancy faster.
Engineering and IT
A stack trace pasted in to debug it, with a live API key three lines down that nobody read past.
Questions people ask first
Are ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini confidential enough for client documents?
Treat all three as third parties, not filing cabinets. Prompts can be retained, logged, and reviewed depending on the vendor, the plan, and the settings, and your confidentiality obligations do not pause because a tool was convenient. Assume anything pasted has left your control. That is why redacting before the paste beats auditing after it.
Does my data leave my computer?
No. Classification and redaction run locally. The only thing that travels is the redacted text you pasted, and it goes exactly where you sent it.
Which AI tools does it work with?
It works at the paste, not at the app, so the list is "all of them." ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, a browser tab, an email draft. If you can paste into it, the same redaction applies.
What exactly gets redacted?
More than 250 classifiers covering regulated data behind PCI, HIPAA, CCPA, and GDPR, plus passwords, tokens, and keys. The surrounding document stays readable so the AI can still do the work you asked for.
When can I download it?
Paste Agent is in app store review. Leave your email below and we will send the download link the day approval comes through.
Can I scan files too, not just pastes?
Yes, with a different product. Risk Finder scans repositories and file shares for the same 250+ classifiers, and the free scanner tool will show you what detection looks like today while you wait.
Be in the know when you can download it
Paste Agent is waiting on app approval. Drop your email and you’ll get the download link the day it clears. Rolling it out to a team? We can help with that.
