In January, attackers got in using compromised credentials to a support platform. That’s it. One password.

Names, addresses, SSNs, medical information, grades — all potentially exposed. For students and staff.

This is the problem with centralized systems holding sensitive data: one weak link and the whole thing unravels.

You don’t need to be a school district to learn from this. If your organization stores sensitive data, ask yourself: do you actually know where all of it lives? And who has access?
